Oren's Final Incarnation of Frank The Strat ready to incite the spirit of rock in Victoria, Canada
Oren spills the sauce: 'Frank's Final Incarnation - my wash-and-wear guitar gets its final set of pickups, controls, and a few cosmetic upgrades. ...and of course the obligatory stainless steel pickguard from Johnny Soniq...
I had two Seymour Duncan pickups and an Evans Eliminator slated for this guitar, but after a lotta listening, went with an old set of no-name single-coils. Much more pleasing and expressive sound.
The machine heads are Wilkinson lockers, and the bridge is a discontinued Wilkinson floater with a machined steel tone-block that must weigh 3/4 of a pound - solid!'
Cheers Oren for the great pics, an insight of Frank's quieter moments at home. Frank has soul, I feel the already legendary vibe from here.
It's obvious no factory could ever replicate Frank. It's when a player gives their guitar their own personal vision, it's priceless, you can't buy that!
